It’s not all about goggles and glasses

There are many options that are not as bulky as your typical tactical or ballistic goggles.   Some of the ballistic eyewear product lines aren’t that different from each other, other than what part of the Country the person making the purchases gives his or her approval for.   We have people walk in here all the time that are looking for cheap shooting glasses and we have some of those on the wall for $10.  When it comes to serious shooting, though, you want to keep your glasses in a case so they don’t get messed up sooner than they are suppose to.   All gear and accessories will wear out, but the Smith Optics Elite division has a warranty service that will repair your eyewear if you get it scratched or damaged except for the frame.

Right now the biggest rave amongst our eyewear are the boogie regulators.  Everytime we bring up these  Smith Optics Elite eyewear  we hear a wise crack about the boogie, but these fast on and off goggles are getting out amongst our local bike patrols and motorcycle cops.   I’ve tested them out myself and I’m still not sure if I like them more than my Aegis eye shields.  I very much like the newer Aegis eyeshields because the fit is a little tighter even without the head strap.

I guess you become a target when you’re popular

Now that Rogue Elite is showing up more and more on Google, Yahoo and all of the major search engines, we’re seeing more and more credit card fraud and attempts on us.  I guess it just goes with the territory but it’s amazing to see how many international shipping companies there are and how many times we’ve seen people try and get us to ship to this with a stolen credit card.  Last year we  had over  100 attempts of credit card fraud and it was mostly for expensive optics, AR15 uppers and flashlights.

It’s disturbing but it’s usually very easy to monitor.   From time to time we get alerts from  our providers about attempts to hack us and we’d like to say Hello to those that are hitting Rogue Elite your source for tactical pants, tactical gear and accessories,  Smith Optics Elite has become our favorite ballistic eye wear company and after getting in the new Boogie Regulators from Smith Optics, we’re really happy with how diverse our eyewear product line is.  We’re sending a few of these out for review from local training groups but we’re really happy with the new clear, gray and Ignitor tactical regulators.

Ballistic Eyewear Options from Smith Optics

We’ve been moving quite a bit of the Smith Optics Elite ballistic eye wear but it still seems like many people are unaware that Smith Optics has a military and LEO division of ballistic eye wear.    The tactical eye wear is broken down into the Tactical  Lifestyle and the Tactical core.   There are some higher levels of ballistic protection than the standard levels but we’ll keep it simple.    The Outside the Wire goggles from Smith Optics Elite will give you ballistic goggles come in black, tan and foliage green.  The dual ballistic lense are available in gray and clear for those that want that level of protection.

The tactical lifestyle eye wear from Smith Optics Elite comes in 5 styles and 5 lenses,  all Smith Optics Elite eye wear is available for Rx lenses, but you will have to send that in directly to Smith Optics.  The Aegis Eyeshields are probable the best for the average shooter due to the wide protection with more visibility than the Smith Optics Turbo Fan goggles.  The tactical Life style eye wear comes in the Hudson Tactical sunglasses, Director tactical sunglasses, Hideout tactical sunglasses, Lockwood tactical sunglasses and Chamber tactical sunglasses.   The lense are available in Clear, gray, Ignitor, Polarized gray and Polarized brown.

New Polarized Smith Optics Elite in stock

I just got done going through all of the Smith Optics Elite Division tactical eyewear that has been out of stock for a long time now.   I’m not sure if it was a production issue or a demand, although I’ve heard a few rumors that there were some issues with the manufacturing them.   Polarized lenses that can take an impact are in high demand and especially for our private contractor clientele.   Smith Optics are one of the five authorized eyewear for military purpose and the designers of the eyewear already have experience working with some of the other competitors.

The Aegis eye shield is still  probable the best tactical eyewear for military use because it’s not as heavy as wearing goggles but it gives you full eye coverage with zero obstructions. Smith Elite eyewear is something you’ll want to try out in a stocking dealers shop.   Ordering sunglasses online is probable just as difficult as ordering clothing or apparel because the look and fit of them is very much about preference and style.  The lifestyles give you the street cool guy look, but not the best thing to wear at a shooting range or in a combat situation.   I personally prefer no frames when I’m working with my Carbine.

Rogue Elite is now carrying Smith Optics Elite tactical eyewear

Not only have we been organizing the new location to look as cool as it can look, we got an awesome looking Smith Optics display case in our store.   The LED lighting and design of the case makes viewing numerous styles and designs easier.   It was nice to be able to get something like that from a company.   There is a very long history to the Smith Optics production line, but there is a very big difference between Ski goggles and the eyewear that many military contractors are going to want to wear.  Having a turbo fan for our ski goggles would be nice, but if you have a smudge you just take it off and clean them, nobody wants to do that in a combat situation.

There are close to 14 or more designs to choose from that have a level of ballistic protection, glare relief and comfort.   The Max factor tactical eyewear is something that you can use at a gun club or use as military or law enforcement protection.   I’m somewhat amazed at the number of people that are buying the clear Lifestyle glasses from Smith Optics Elite eyewear.   Many of them just want to be able to have a wide angle of protection from blood born pathogens, and flying debris.   If you are not  sure what tactical eyewear you want to use stop in our shop and we can show you.

Smith Optics Elite still waiting

We’ve been very happy to bring in the new Smith Optics Elite eye wear.   It’s been awhile since we’ve expanded this part of our inventory because eye wear is actually a hard sell via the internet.   There are some things that people have real fears of ordering online due to shipping and exchange policies from various companies.   The Smith Optics are not the optics you find in a hardware store.   They are far more better balanced and durable.   Primarily what I’m talking about are the Smith Optics Elite Lifestyle glasses.   We’ve been selling most of them to walk in customers because they are eye catching. The Smith Optics display case we have has really good LED lighting and it really brings out the differences between the clear, ignitory, gray and Polarized eyewear.

While looking at what many life guards are using, the polarized lenses are the most popular.   The amount of sun glare and the depths that they need to see during the summer sun hours can be intense.   The Smith Optics Elite tactical eyewear has been gaining ground and we’ve been sponsoring various local events to push some of their products.    Taking good care of  your eyewear is extremely important because scratches and smudges can limit your visibility and in a defensive situation, that you means your at a disadvantage.   The Outside the wire Smith Elite turbo fan goggles are

Sometimes eye protection means eye protection

I may have sounded redundant, but I didn’t mean to.   When we first started carrying eyewear for Law Enforcement we kind of thought that all of the eyewear was for Police guys to look like Police.   I have to admit that the majority of the eyewear are the Ignitor Smith Optics, but I’m shocked at the number of emergency responders that wanted the clear lenses.   The Lifestyle lenses look like they are for the sun, but there is a reason there are clear lense and not the gray or polarized.

In the age of blood diseases and what Cops are exposed to,  sometimes looking good on the job and avoid blood born diseases means always having eyewear on.  Smith Optics Elite Lifestyle lenses were designed for this.  If you are out in the sun  you have the choice of the gray, ignitor, polarized gray and clear lenses.  If your job is that demanding you may want to look at the outside the wire turbo fan googles.

This isn’t a paintball mask

I’ve recently had numerous people tell me that I should get into paintball gear and accessories, but recently I went to a shop that sold stuff like that and it took me 2 seconds to notice that the nylon holsters and Molle vests were almost identical to what real gun  holsters were.  Air soft and paintball guns have gotten so good that they literally will work with your Dad’s Glock 19 holster.   One thing that still strikes me is the shitty painball masks that almost always fog up on you.   I always hated that when playing paintball because it’s an automatic violation of the safety rules and removal from the game if you take your mask off.

Real safety gear means ballistic gear.   Bullet proof vests are really catching up to bullet penetration and survival rates of combat soldiers is up considerable.   One thing that still needs to catch up is eye wear, but the eye wear that Smith Optics Elite is making is something your Grandfather wishes he had in WWII.   Smith Elite optics look good and they also fit right.   The Smith Optics Elite goggles are designed to fit under a helmet and will give you a level of ballistic protection from debris.   They are rated for being able to stop a projectile that is in the 22 caliber category.   The Outside the wire turbo fan is the cadillac of the tactical eye wear.   The turbo fan is very quiet and will help keep your gear on and not have to take it off for a wipe down.
