After a day of practice
One of the things that many gun collectors experience is what its like to take their collection to the range for a day and then shoot, then having to come home and clean everything. I remember the times I’ve attending State or regional events and took more than a few handguns or rifles. Some people like to take their time cleaing up their firearms and might let them sit for a few weeks before they get to them. Some people practically break their guns down and clean them before they get cold.
After taking a few new shooters to the range today, I didn’t worry about how much time I’d spend when I got home. The Hoppes Boresnake is a breeze to clean with. I tend to clean the barrels of all of the rifles I shoot immediately after I get home and cleaning a 22LR bolt action or semi-auto can be done in no more than 10 minutes. I’d recommend using BreakFree CLP and a 22 Caliber Boresnake and you really won’t need more than 2 or 3 cleaning patches to clean the bolt.
