Gunvault Gun Safes finding one that suits you best

I’ve been working with Gunvault Gun safes for well over 20yrs, there have been design changes, improvements and even corporate changes.   There are several other brands out there but they may not be best for accessing a firearm quickly.   From my personal experience, there isn’t much of a need to keep a gun in a bedroom that isn’t locked up.  My biggest concern with bedside guns is, what if you aren’t in the house?  The bedroom is the first place the bad guys go for jewelry and other valuables, not leaving a gun around is a good thing.

Recently we have had several seminars in our store about Concealed Carry, people need to know that there are some places you can’t carry a firearm and you might have to lock your gun up in your car.   You also need to know how easy it is to break a window and grab that firearm that is stuffed under your seat.   The Gunvault gun safe that is a good fit as  a car safe is the Gunvault Nanovault.   They are in the $40 price range and you can use the wire cord to wrap around a car seat and through the safe to secure it.   Illegal guns end up on the streets through Straw Purchases or theft, so don’t make it easy for the bad guys.

Years of feedback from customers about gunvault safes

We’ve been using them ourselves for almost 10yrs and there have been big changes to the product  line since we started using them.  The buttons have chang, the doors have changed and now they are making some of the best compact or small gun safes.   I guess its due to the bad economy  but we have sold more and more of the Gunvault microvault and nanovaults in recent  months to people using them in cars.  Not only are these good car safes for your firearm, but they are great for locking up and securing cash.  Every township or State is different regarding gun laws and security can vary from bank to bank.  Here in Pennsylvania some banks have metal detectors and you can’t carry a firearm in without setting off an alarm, you have to take it off of you when going in.

There are some criticisms about some of the biometric safes but they run more reliable than firearms.  Depending on which gunvault safes you are looking to purchase, there are battery operated ones and electrical ones.   I would suggest always using batteries and actually hiding the safe in a close and not out in the open.  Many people forget that gun safes that are not properly bolted down can easily just be picked up with a  hand truck or physically carried out of the house.   You can customize the way  you secure your gun safe in a car or a vehicle.  You may want to walk into a store that stocks them because matching up firearms to gun safes is something you want to think about ahead of time before you attach something to a gun and find out the safe doesn’t work for you anymore.

Gunvault gun safes what size do you want?

I have several gun safes in my home and not all of them are for firearms.  I think it’s a responsible thing to do to put important documents in a safe like Birth Certificates, Marriage records and other things.  But how big of a safe do you need?  What if your wife wants to put jewelry in it?  What about firearms?   What size gun are we talking about and do you want a flashlight or something else?  A large safe in the basement is the way to go for locking up firearms but for use every day you really want something smaller like a gunvault safe.

You might want to stop in a stocking store though because not all gunvault safes are going to get the job done.  Some of the larger safes like the Deluxe model are pretty big even for a closet and gunvault safes also come in a much smaller version like the Gunvault Nanovault and the Gunvault minivault are for cars, travel or hidden locations.  Some safes also are designed with the biometric technology and are very useful for those that want quick access without having to push buttons or use keys.

There is no compromise anymore

Everyone in the concealed carry market talk about concealment and which firearm is easier to hide, but those debates have so many variables and just like trying to get a pair of pants to fit on everyone of different sizes, it’s just not going to work for everyone.   There are some things which remain constant and there is no variable and that one issue is gun safety.   I’m not just talk about range safety and gun handling, I’m also talking about where you put your firearm and how you prevent others from getting  a hold of it.  I have several friends that told me that they grew up with firearms that were not locked up, but things are different now.

If you look at the statistics on firearm thefts and how guns end up in the streets, its always straw purchase and gun thefts.   IF you are looking to have an alarm system installed in your home consider this, most gunvault safes are very easy to bolt into areas that are hard to find and given the modern biometric technology, you aren’t compromising your ability to retrieve a firearm quickly and you reduce your chances of having your stuff stolen if you do have a break in.  Most burglars want to move fast and they can’t find the safe or it’s in a hard to detach location chances are you will not loose your stuff.

gun safes that don’t burn money

Ever since I had a family and knew that I was going to have kids around the house that would eventually figure out where Dad kept his firearms, I picked up several gun safes.   There are some pretty expensive gun safes out there, namely the biometric safes, but those are really meant for quick access use of firearms.   One safe isn’t necessarily better than the other, it’s really about what you intend to do with it.   Some of these gunvault gun safes are really good for storing jewelry or personal records like birth certificates ect.   In this day and age there are many reasons why you will want to know where you birth records are for your kids because they need to be submitted for many reasons.

The gun safes that we are actually selling the most are the gunvault nano vault safes.   The reason these safes are selling so well is they are easy to  use and the least expensive gunvault safes we stock.   For less than $40 you can get an easy to store and move gun safe.   They are great for travelling especially for people that are in and out of hotels.   There are plenty of situations where you may not be able to bring a firearm with you and leaving it loaded in a room where a room cleaner may come is not a  good idea.   Lock it up and hide it under a bed or in a corner.
