Bianchi holsters at your service

Bianchi HolstersThe Bianchi black widow holster can be used with a J-Frame revolver.  You will want to choose a good gun belt for any of your Bianchi holsters.   Some of the Bianchi holsters are attached to a belt through a belt loop or by a clip.   Depending on your preferences, you will have to decide on what works for you.   As to which type of belt, we highly recommmend using The Wilderness Belts which come in various styles and colors.

Bianchi gun holsters are another option of duty or concealed carry.     They are made from leather or nylon depending on which type of holster you prefer.   There is also an accumold version for those concerned about carrying in areas where leather won’t hold up.   Bianchi holsters are made for medium or large semi-autos and for various frame revolvers.

Tactical Holsters

Tactical HolstersThe more gear you put on your body the more you’ll worry about placement, and like every other mode of carry, there are different tools for different tasks.  Blackhawk gear has some of the top notch products for your needs.   You can choose from different levels of retension, too.  There are always paddle holsters or something like Fobus that are fairly inexpensive, but our highest recommendations are always the Blackhawk Tactical Holsters.

Tactical Holsters are another category of holsters for todays gun owner or LEO.   While many may not be Law Enforcement or Military,  there are reasons for civillians to desire a holster for carrying on the range or for training.   One of the most popular ways to carry a sidearm is on the leg.   If you’re toting an M4 or similiar Carbine, you may not want a sidearm on your waist, inside or outside.

Concealement or Duty Holsters Options, Options…

Pistol HolstersThe argument about which gun is better than the other is  like beating a dead horse to most gun enthusiasts, but when talking about gun holsters there seems to be very little argument.   Whenever I speak to my friends about the topic of gun holsters, there is a clear and obvious reality that no holster is good for everything.   Some holsters look nice and feel nice, but they won’t hold up to adverse weather.   Nylon and plastics are options for damp environments, but there can always be drawbacks.
Whenever your looking for a pistol holster, think about the number of climate changes or environments, concealement or open carry options, and then take your pick of the many brands like, Galco, Fobus, Don Hume, Uncle Mike’s, Blackhawk, Bianchi and see which needs can be fulfilled.   Some manufacturers are making holsters from leather to high density plastics and shoulder holsters to paddle holsters.

Shooting Ranges

Shooting Range ListingWe have compiled info from our membership over the years and hoping that eventually we will get enough input to keep our info up to date.  While we realize that some glubs do not want to post all of there info, we feel that we can be a conduit for people atleast finding out how to find out where a range is.

When searching the intenet looking for places to shoot, you may find a few shooting range listings, but there is still very little info out there and it’s also virtually impossible to get answers.   We tried to start something new a few years ago and started TheRallyPoint.org in hopes of eventually building a resource to connect.  While we were searching the internet we found a few resources for gun club info, but atleast 20% of it was inaccurate or flat out wrong.  Gun clubs that have been closed for years were still listed and range info was obsolete.

Combat Gloves

Vickers GlovesWhen you get serious about using a firearm you’ll understand the need for a good pair of gloves. Many of us have experience in plinking on a cold winter afternoon or walking around in the woods during hunting season and feeling the need to keep our hands warm. When using gloves that don’t restrict our ability to use a firearm, well, that’s another story.

Designed by Larry Vickers, a retired career special operations soldier and firearms expert, Vickers gloves are true operator grade gear. Our customers have told us that these gloves are the best on the market, if you are wearing the correct size gloves, you should be able to pick up something as small as a 22LR bullet and still be able to feel it. These gloves will keep you warm and not wear down or fray when racking a slide or loading a magazine.

More Shoulder Holster Options

Galco Shoulder Holster

From what many people seem to like about shoulder holsters is the stability of carrying a larger size revolver or duty gun. Something like a Glock 17 or Sig 226, Beretta 96 ect are all a little large for IWB and OWB limits the defensive movement inside a vehicle.

Galco  shoulder holsters come in a very diverse variety. You you use them for concealed carry purposes or for open carry or duty. One of my favorite ways to carry a Sig 226 is a Galco shoulder holster. I like the idea of being able to sit down in a car and still be able to grab the firearm without fiddling with a seatbelt. The only other car friendly variation of carrying a firearm in a car and being able to reach it quickly is with an ankle holster. Galco has several shoulder holster and ankle holsters on the market.

New Line of Tactical Apparel

tactical apparelA few years ago Woolrich Elite launched their line of tactical apparel with the help of Backyard Outfitter, but after an internal squabble Fernando Coelho split off from the company and launched his own tactical apparel line named Eotac.   I noticed a few  people mention that most of the Eotac apparel looks like Phase II of the Woolrich Elite line, but there have been some major innovations.  We’ve seen some of the new products coming out in 2010 and there seems to be some pretty aggressive steps in the tactical apparel and concealed carry market with the new Eotac line.

Many of you may have noticed that the tactical apparel market has exploded.   There are already a few casualties on the market, notable Sigtac.    There are a few good apparel lines on the market, but there have already been a few failed attempts at gaining on 5.11 tactical.   5.11 apparel in made in atleast 3 different Countries and the quality control has become pretty inconsistant.   I was on the firing line a few weeks ago and heard guys complaining that they use to where Royal Robbins religiously, but ever since 5.11 took them over, the QC has gotten shotty.

Time Is of the Essence in a Combat Scenario

speed loadersWhen I’m firing my Glock at a target, it pays to be able to reload in a quick, effortless manner. A speed loader handles what would otherwise be a time-consuming chore in a matter of seconds. If you translate this concept to a real-life combat situation, a few seconds could mean the difference between life and death. When it’s just you and the enemy, mano a mano, you’ll want to gain the upper hand with advanced technology.

When training for a tactical combat situation, you’ll find that speed and efficiency are crucial to success. Physical fitness and mental preparedness can give you a decided advantage over your enemies, but a helping hand from advanced technology never hurts either. In my experience, I’ve found speed loaders to be an essential tool for putting me in the upper echelon of tactical simulation participants.
