Leupold & Stevens, Inc. is also responsible for manufacturing items such as spotting scopes, red dot sights, and binoculars. They are located in Beaverton, Oregon, and they were founded in 1907. In business for an impressive amount of years, the company has always been family owned, and as such, it has been passed on through five generations.

The overarching company was founded by Markus Friedrich Leupold along with Adam Voelpel, his brother-in-law. Their initial focus was survey equipment, but they moved to scopes after Leupold was hunting, and he missed a deer when his scope fogged up. While they remain well known for these scopes, they are also particularly known for their Leupold binoculars. Primarily used for sport hunting, these binoculars are widely considered one of the most reliable.
